A tie may be folded or rolled before it is packed. The box size and internal layout should match that finished format, with enough room for any insert or paper wrap.

For a bow tie or a gift set, the layout can be planned around the full product list. If the box will hold a tie clip, cufflinks or a pocket square, include their dimensions when requesting a quote so the compartments can be planned together.

Please provide the packed dimensions of the products, rather than the length of an unfolded tie. If the dimensions are not available, send product photos or a reference package to start the discussion.

Choose a Box Structure for Your Product and Order

Common packaging box styles for tie packaging include folding cartons, lid-and-base boxes, drawer boxes, magnetic-closure boxes and window boxes.

Folding cartons can be stored flat before assembly. A lid-and-base box provides a separate lid and tray, while drawer and magnetic-closure structures offer different ways to present a tie or accessory set. A window can display part of the tie’s pattern or colour without opening the box.

The best structure depends on the packed product, order quantity, assembly process and shipping requirements.

Materials, Printing and Finishing

Paperboard, kraft paper, specialty paper and rigid greyboard each offer a different balance of print surface, structure and cost. The right choice depends on the box construction and the presentation you need. These are among the paper and board materials used across custom packaging.

Your box can be printed with a logo, brand colours or product information. Foil stamping, embossing, debossing, lamination and spot UV are surface finishing options that can be selected to suit the artwork and material.
